This is why we do what we do and why we do it with Love.

I am happy to share with you a talk that was presented by Sheila Kelley from the SFactor in Los Angeles. Shelia eloquently depicts the power of pole dancing for your own holistic health, that need to feel the void inside and how pole fitness completely fills it with the essence of you. Please take a moment to have a look at this video as it is words you may need to hear.

Pole Dancing Will Improve Your Posture

Right now, go to a full length mirror and stand in side profile.
Look at the way that you naturally hold your body. If you are like many women, you might notice that you have poor posture. Your shoulders might slump forward; your chest sink inwards and your stomach might stick out.
Many women suffer from poor posture, as their core torso muscles are not strong enough to hold up their body in the correct way. Also, working at a job where you are hunched over a desk all day can only make it worse. When you naturally have bad posture, this is not only damaging on your spine and nerves but it also makes you look older and heavier than you really are as your back is hunched and your belly is exaggerated. Now try lifting your shoulders back, straightening your spine and tightening your abdominal muscles. See the difference in the look of your figure that good posture can bring?
Pole dancing is a fantastic way to improve your posture. Just like tai chi, yoga and other forms of muscle controlled exercise, pole dancing requires you to have complete control over your muscles and to move in a slow and steady, focused way so that you can hold your proper form on the pole. You need to use your core muscles to stabilize yourself during moves and engage all of your muscles when lifting yourself up onto the pole and swinging around.
The stronger your back and abdominal muscles become, the more your posture will improve. After a few classes you will find yourself changing the way you hold your body and carry yourself, looking slimmer, stronger, younger and more elegant.
